Maternity Leave Re-Cap

Well, its time . . . back to reality . . . back to work. That sentence reminded me of the song by En Vogue (singing "Back to Life Back to Reality") Besides learning the day time TV schedule we've actually done a lot in the last 8 weeks. This girl worked on gaining some pounds, she's up past 12lbs now, and her cheeks are proof, and so are my sore arm muscles.

We started with a trip up north to Drummond Island. Here is Baby K with Grandma and Daddy relaxing by the lake. Linden had a great time fishing and swimming, and we christened the Jeep with her first off road adventure. Linden had an unfortunate first while we were on the Island, she got her first bee sting bet you can't guess where :).

We did lots of errands to get ready for the start of Football season, and even though last weeks game was a bit wet, we still had fun. Someone at Northwood had the great idea to give out these awesome horns, which I'm sure no doubt we will hear at every game for the rest

of the season and lucky for me (and my neighbors) we will get to hear it for the rest of fall at home! As part of our Cheer Camp day, Sara and I took the team to dinner and Kokomos, where Sara and I learned that we do not fit in a go-kart together and no one should have documented the event with a photo. We made our annual trip to Buckley, where Papa and Logan sported their matching hats.

We also visited Traverse City and of course we couldn't miss an opportunity to check out Cherry Republic, Linden enjoyed checking out the cherry pits and looking for the "lost" raccoon in the store. Before we knew it, it was fair week and we had to get our fair food fix. Linden had a great time riding rides with her buddy Brayden.

So after all of the fun times we've had, its time for baby to hang out each day with Aunt Kim. Judging by how spoiled Linden is, I think Kennedy will be very happy there.

(sorry my pictures aren't quite lined up with my text, having some issues with blogspot today I guess)

Look at those cheeks! I haven't seen her in so long.
