We took a trip up to the Island a few weeks ago. It wasn't super hot, but we didn't get any rain, so we were able to be outside and enjoy the outdoors. It was great to be out in the crisp, fresh, cedar air. Matt and Linden went fishing, as you can see

Linden isn't afraid of touching the worms. This poor worm ended up being torn in half by the time she got done with him. We took lots of rides on the quads, we took a trip to the other side of the inlet to get some nice flat rocks

to build an
Inukshuk, I'll post some more on that once we get him in place here at home. Of course Scout and Hunter (my parents dog) had a great time swimming.

Those two dogs would start swimming around 7am and not stop until they were too tired to drag themselves up to the cabin to sleep for the night.

We did some golfing and some kayaking

and just took it easy. We golfed at the municipal course, this was the first time I had ever been there. One interesting thing about the municipal course on the island is that you have to cross the runway at the
airport to get to the rest of the course. As you can see from

the picture of Linden the stop sign is warning you to watch for airplanes before you cross. None landed or took off while we were golfing that day.

We got some great pictures of Linden down by the old ferry dock. She was really hamming it up. She got a little carried away and ended up falling off the big rock, which ended our photo shoot.

But she recovered quickly and ended up without a scratch on her. We ended up being the only car on the return ferry to the mainland, which was cool b/c Linden was able to get out and check things out. Life goes at a slower pace on the Island, which makes it a great place to visit and just relax.
