Weekend Getaway!

Last weekend Matt and I took a trip up to Traverse City. We bummed around town and shopped and just enjoyed the great spring weather. There is no shortage of stuff to do in TC and the surrounding area so check it out if you never have. The highlight of the weekend was staying at Bryan & Rebecca's bed and breakfast (The Inn at Beulah Beach). For those of you who need a quick refresher, Bryan and Rebecca used to be realtors at RE/MAX of Midland, and Rebecca was my former employer. The best boss I ever had in fact. "No need to brown nose, she's not your boss anymore" you say. Well, yes your right she's not, but it's the truth, and there's nothing but the facts on this blog. Anyway back to the Inn, we stayed in the Beulah room, with a great view of... you guessed it Beulah Beach. Of course the lake is iced over and the beach is covered in snow, but the view was still great! Upon arriving at the Inn we took time to relax in the cozy living room, and hung out in the Kitchen where Bryan fixed us a drink and Becca whipped up a snack. Then Becca took Matt and I down to the Roadhouse a local restaurant to check out the townies. Then it was back to the Inn for a FABULOUS dinner that Bryan slaved
over while we were out having a good time. Steak Au Pau (I have no idea how to spell that), baked potatoes, a great spinach salad and the piece de resistance CREME BRULE! My absolute favorite, and I have never had a better Creme Brule than Bryans. Now Bryan was a bit sad because Matty didn't eat too much of his steak, but I assure you that Matt eats less than Linden and we had a huge lunch, so the fact that he ate like a bird had nothing to do with the quality of the food. And of course it wouldnt be a bed and breakfast without breakfast, Bryan made a great quiche paired with fresh fruit.
Moral of this blog if you ever need a place to relax and get away and you want to be taken care of like you went back home to visit family (or in some cases better than that), check out the Inn at Beulah beach. And for a great read check out Becca's new blog http://www.beulahbec.blogspot.com/. Not sure why she had me writing all those realestate ads, she's the one with writing talent.

Wow, sounds fun! When did they move up that way? So they are not realitors anymore? How cool to own a B&B!!! Glad you two had such a great time.
